The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), under the Ministry of Finance, India, has issued an addendum to the Final Seniority List of IRS (C&IT) officers in the grade of Principal Commissioner (HAG), formally inserting Satyajit Singh at a revised position for the 2023 panel year.

The addendum has been issued in continuation of the earlier communication dated August 30, 2023, which circulated the final seniority list for IRS (C&IT) officers promoted to the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG). Such lists play a crucial role in determining inter-se seniority, influencing postings, promotions, and administrative hierarchy within the department.

As per the latest order, the Competent Authority has approved the inclusion of Satyajit Singh at Serial Number 61-A. He has been placed immediately below Shri Divi Polu Naidu (Serial No. 61) and above Shri Ved Prakash Shukla (Serial No. 62), thereby modifying the previously notified sequence.

According to the official document, Satyajit Singh is a Direct Recruit (DR) officer and does not belong to the SC/ST category. His employee code is 812. He was born on January 14, 1967, and joined Group A service on September 6, 1994.

He has been assigned the panel year 2023 for promotion to the HAG grade and was granted regular promotion on May 31, 2023. The inclusion follows recommendation and approval by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), referenced in a communication dated September 29, 2025.
