As part of the celebrations marking GST Day on July 1, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has launched ‘GST Pakhwada’, a nationwide outreach and awareness campaign running from June 16 to June 30, 2025.

In a key initiative under the campaign, dedicated GST helpdesks have been set up across all CGST Commissioneratesto assist taxpayers. These helpdesks aim to resolve GST-related queries and offer guidance on compliance and procedural matters.

GST Pakhwada is not just a celebration but a commitment to transparency, ease of doing business, and strengthening the taxpayer interface. Helpdesks are a step toward that.

In addition to helpdesks, the fortnight will feature seminars, workshops, and awareness drives to educate taxpayers about their rights and obligations under the GST framework.

GST Day, celebrated on July 1, commemorates the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax in 2017, which unified India’s complex indirect tax system.

Taxpayers are encouraged to visit their local CGST offices during this fortnight to avail assistance and enhance their understanding of GST procedures.
