In a significant move to ease the burden of pending traffic challans and promote amicable dispute resolution, the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) in coordination with the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) is organizing a National Lok Adalat on May 10, 2025, starting from 10:00 AM across all court complexes in Delhi.
The special drive will continue until the exhaustion of the challan/noticee limit and offers a one-time opportunity for citizens to settle their long-pending traffic challans through an alternative dispute resolution mechanism.
Citizens can avail this opportunity to pay their pending challans issued till January 31, 2025, and resolve them through the Lok Adalat process. This initiative not only promotes speedy disposal but also often provides relief in terms of reduced penalties.
The Delhi Traffic Police has announced that links for checking and settling notices online will be activated from May 5, 2025:

The Lok Adalat will be held across all district court complexes and will consider matters related to compounding of traffic challans, enabling citizens to avoid prolonged litigation and legal costs.
The authorities have urged Delhi residents with pending challans to check their status and take advantage of this opportunity to settle them conveniently and efficiently.
