In yet another shocking incident of police brutality against legal professionals, an Advocate, a member of the Rohini Court Bar Association, was brutally assaulted by a policeman in civil uniform. The attack took place at Palam, Dwarka, under the jurisdiction of Delhi Cantt. police station. The assailant repeatedly struck the advocate on the head with an iron rod, causing severe injuries.

According to medical reports, Advocate is currently out of danger but suffered significant head trauma. The brutal attack has sparked outrage among the legal fraternity, with advocates and bar associations demanding strict action against the accused police officer.

Passersby Nab Attacker on the Spot

Fortunately, the culprit was apprehended on the spot by vigilant passersby, preventing further escalation. The identity of the accused policeman has not yet been disclosed, but authorities have confirmed that an investigation is underway.

Legal Community Condemns the Attack

The Rohini Court Bar Association and several other legal bodies have strongly condemned the incident. Lawyers across Delhi are expressing their frustration over the increasing number of attacks on advocates. Many are questioning how long they must continue staging protests just to secure their fundamental rights to safety and dignity.

Bar associations are now calling for swift and strict action against the perpetrator. Legal professionals are urging the government and law enforcement agencies to take immediate measures to ensure the safety of advocates and prevent such heinous acts in the future.

Demands for Justice and Accountability

The legal community has placed the following demands before the authorities:

  • Immediate suspension and arrest of the accused police officer.
  • A thorough and impartial investigation into the incident.
  • Stringent legal action to set a precedent against police misconduct.
  • Implementation of stricter measures to prevent such attacks on advocates.

Growing Concerns Over Advocate Safety

This incident adds to a growing list of cases where police officers have allegedly assaulted advocates. Legal experts argue that such violence undermines the judicial system and erodes public trust in law enforcement.

As protests and legal actions intensify, all eyes are on the Delhi Police to see whether justice will be served. The legal fraternity remains firm in its demand for accountability, emphasizing that no one, especially those entrusted with upholding the law, should be above it.
