CBIC Amends Export Duty On Rice Variety

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes And Customs (CBIC) has notified the amendment in export duty on Rice Variety.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 27/2011- Customs.

No export duty shall be payable on rice in the husk (paddy or rough); Husked ( brown ) rice; and Rice, parboiled.

Earlier 10% export duty was  payable on rice in the husk (paddy or rough); Husked ( brown ) rice; and Rice, parboiled.
