AIBE 20 Results Declared: 69.21% Candidates Clear Bar Exam, BCI Announces AIBE 21 Schedule for 2026

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has declared the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20 results today, January 7, 2026, with an overall pass rate of 69.21 per cent, officials confirmed. Candidates can now check and download their individual results and scorecards from the official portal allindiabarexamination.com using their login credentials.

The AIBE 20 exam was conducted on November 30, 2025, at 399 centres across 56 cities nationwide, with a total of 2,51,968 candidates appearing for the test. Of these, 1,74,386 candidates have qualified, making them eligible to receive the Certificate of Practice (CoP) necessary to practise law in India’s courts.

Revised Evaluation and Qualifying Criteria

BCI released the final answer key on January 6, 2026, after considering objections from examinees. During evaluation, 5 questions were withdrawn, reducing the total effective marks to 95. Based on this, the qualifying cut-off was set as follows:

  • General and OBC candidates: 43 marks (45 per cent of 95)
  • SC/ST/PwD candidates: 38 marks (40 per cent of 95)

Candidates can access and save their scorecards by logging in with their user ID and password on the AIBE portal. The scorecard will indicate pass/fail status but does not disclose detailed sectional or overall scores.
