2 IRS Officers Appointed As CBIC MembersĀ

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of two senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers namely Sanjay Mangal and Abhai Kumar Srivastav as Members of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).

According to an official order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions through the Department of Personnel and Training on February 12, 2026, the following officers have been elevated to the Board:

Firstly, Shri Sanjay Mangal, IRS (C&IT: 1992 batch), presently serving as Chief Commissioner, Meerut GST & Central Excise Zone.

Secondly, Shri Abhai Kumar Srivastav, IRS (C&IT: 1992 batch), currently Director General, Directorate General of Revenue Intelligence (DGRI), Delhi.

The appointments were cleared by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet and communicated by the Secretariat of the ACC from Kartavya Bhavan-3, New Delhi.
