DGGI Lucknow Zonal Unit Shifts to New Office

The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), Lucknow Zonal Unit (ZU), has shifted to a new, spacious office located at a prime location in the city on June 5, 2025.

The new premises were formally inaugurated by Shri Rajesh Jindal, Director General, DGGI (North Zone), in the presence of senior officers and staff.

The upgraded facility is designed with advanced technological and security features to enhance efficiency and transparency. It is equipped with comprehensive CCTV coverage, a smart biometric-based entrance-exit management system, and a fully secured high-speed internet leased line, ensuring robust digital infrastructure.

To improve operational functioning, the office houses compactors for efficient live record management, dedicated record rooms, and statement recording rooms with CCTV monitoring for procedural integrity. A modern conference hall with a seating capacity of 40 officers has also been established to facilitate high-level meetings, training, and coordination exercises.

The new office reflects DGGI’s commitment to strengthening its enforcement capabilities through improved infrastructure and resource optimization. Shri Rajesh Jindal lauded the efforts of the Lucknow Zonal Unit and expressed confidence that the enhanced facilities would bolster the unit’s performance in combating GST evasion and upholding tax compliance.
