Ahead of the Union Budget for FY 2025-26, President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Budget Session of Parliament today (January 31, 2025) with an address to the joint sitting of both Houses.

Following this, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey 2024-25 in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The survey will provide an official review of the country’s economic performance for the ongoing financial year and highlight key challenges facing the nation.

The Budget Session will take place from January 31 to April 4, divided into two phases. The first phase will conclude on February 13, while the second phase will commence on March 10.
