A comprehensive presentation on the revamped Manufacturing and Other Operations in Warehouse Regulations (MOOWR) scheme was delivered by FCA Shravan Gehlot at a session organized by the Karnataka State Chartered Accountants Association (KSCAA).

The session aimed to simplify and demystify the MOOWR framework, particularly in light of recent regulatory amendments and practical challenges faced by businesses.

The presentation titled “MOOWR – Simplified” provided a detailed overview of the warehousing landscape under customs law, including the procedural nuances of procurement, clearance, and deferment benefits under the MOOWR scheme.

FCA Gehlot also highlighted the strategic advantages, sector-specific use cases, and compliance challenges relevant to both exporters and manufacturers.

A key segment of the discussion focused on the professional opportunities for Chartered Accountants, with emphasis on feasibility analysis, application procedures, and audit preparedness. The event was well-received by industry professionals seeking clarity on the evolving warehousing regime.
