The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has announced the schedule for the Customs Brokers Examination, 2026, to be conducted by the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN). The written exam will be held in March 2026, followed by an oral test for successful candidates.
According to the notification, applications are now invited from eligible Indian citizens for the issuance of licenses to act as Customs Brokers under the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations (CBLR), 2018, as amended.
Key Details:
- Application Window: October 14, 2025 to November 13, 2025 (midnight)
- Mode of Application: Online through the CBLMS Portal only
- Application Fee: ₹500 (to be paid online or via manual challan and uploaded on the portal)
- Eligibility List Publication: December 8, 2025 (on respective Commissionerate websites/notice boards)
- Admit Cards: Available online and via email 12 days before the exam date
- Exam Medium: Candidates may answer in either Hindi or English
- Exam Syllabus: As per Regulation 6(7) of CBLR, 2018
Incomplete applications or those with incorrect details will be summarily rejected, and any license issued on the basis of false information is liable to be canceled.
NACIN has also set up a dedicated helpline for queries at cblr-nacinpsm@gov.in, which will remain functional from the start of the application process until the examination date.
The Director General of NACIN, Dr. M. Subramanyam, signed the official notification, emphasizing the importance of carefully following the instructions while applying.
