Parliament Budget Session: Day 2 Lok Sabha Schedule

The second day of the Budget Session in the Lok Sabha is set to witness crucial discussions as the government continues to lay out its economic roadmap for the upcoming financial year. 

Following the presentation of the Economic Survey 2024-25, the focus now shifts to Union Budget 2025-26 and Finance Bill.

The Union Budget 2025-26 will be presented by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at 11 AM today (1.02.2025).

The Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman will present a statement of the estimated receipts and expenditure of the Government of India for the year 2025-26.

The Finance Minister will lay on the Table the two Statements under section 3(1) of the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) Act, 2003 namely medium-term Fiscal Policy cum Fiscal Policy Strategy Statement; and macro-economic Framework Statement.

The Finance Minister moved for leave to introduce the Finance Bill, 2025.
