The GSTAT Jodhpur Bench has announced the establishment of a dedicated Help Desk to assist taxpayers, departmental authorities, authorized representatives, and other stakeholders in matters relating to the filing of appeals and applications before the Tribunal.

The Help Desk will remain functional on all working days between: 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM during which stakeholders may visit or contact the designated officials for assistance.

According to the public notice, the Help Desk has been created to provide guidance and procedural support to stakeholders dealing with appellate proceedings before the GSTAT. The initiative comes at a time when taxpayers and tax professionals across the country are preparing for large-scale litigation before the Tribunal following the operationalization of various GSTAT benches.

The Help Desk is expected to act as a facilitation center for resolving procedural queries, providing clarifications, and assisting parties in understanding the requirements relating to appeal filings and other applications before the Tribunal.

The Help Desk has been established at: Ground Floor, GST Seva Kendra, CGST & Central Excise, Jodhpur Commissionerate, G-105, New Jodhpur Industrial Area, Basni, Jodhpur – 342003.

The location has been chosen within the CGST and Central Excise Commissionerate premises to ensure easy accessibility for taxpayers and professionals visiting the GSTAT Jodhpur Bench.

The notice clarifies that stakeholders may approach the Help Desk for clarifications on procedural aspects of GSTAT matters; guidance regarding filing of appeals; assistance relating to applications before the Tribunal; and resolution of general queries connected with GSTAT procedures.

The objective is to reduce procedural difficulties and ensure that litigants are able to navigate the appellate process effectively.

The GSTAT Jodhpur Bench has nominated the following officers to handle stakeholder queries:

The setting up of a dedicated Help Desk is being viewed as an important administrative measure, particularly in view of the increasing number of GST disputes expected to reach the Tribunal. Taxpayers and professionals have repeatedly sought greater clarity on filing procedures, documentation requirements, limitation issues, and operational aspects of the Tribunal.

The Help Desk is likely to play a crucial role in easing the transition to the GSTAT regime and ensuring uniform understanding of procedural requirements among litigants and representatives.

The public notice states that the Help Desk has been established with the approval of the Hon’ble Vice-President, GSTAT Rajasthan, reflecting the Tribunal’s commitment to improving stakeholder engagement and access to justice.

The notice has also been circulated to various authorities and professional bodies, including the CGST Jaipur Zone, SGST Rajasthan, tax bar associations, industry associations, GST practitioners, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
