100+ Customs Appeal Cases Notified by CBIC

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has issued a comprehensive notification listing over 100 customs appeals filed across various jurisdictions under the Customs Act, 1962.

The notification enumerates appeal numbers ranging from 1195/2022 to 355/2023, involving private entities and public authorities. These include prominent names such as Tata Motors Ltd., Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Amazon Wholesale India Pvt. Ltd., Maruti Suzuki, and L&T Ltd.

The appeals have been filed primarily to the Commissioner (Appeals) of Customs across regions like JNCH (Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House), Mumbai, and Kolkata, covering orders issued between 2020 and 2023.

Under Sections 3, 4(1), and 5(1 & 1A) of the Customs Act, 1962, the CBIC has designated specific adjudicating authorities to handle these appeals. The detailed tables provides Appeal Number, Date of Filing, Name of Appellant, Original Order Number and Date Assigned Adjudicating Authority.
