CBIC Withdraws Road and Infrastructure Cess On Export Of Petrol And High Speed Diesel Oil

The Central Board Of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has notified the withdrawal of road and infrastructure cess on export of petrol and high speed diesel oil.

The board empowered under section 112 of Finance Act, 2018 read with section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 and Section 21 of General Clauses Act, 1897, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, rescinded the notifications imposing road and infrastructure cess on export of petrol and high speed diesel oil.

The board has rescinded the notification No. 10/2022- Central Excise, dated the 30th June and No. 11/2022- Central Excise, dated the 30th June.

This notification shall come into force with effect from 2/12/2024.
