The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has ordered the transfer and posting of 37 Assistant Commissioners across various formations in the Meerut Zone with immediate effect.

The Establishment Order No. 11/2026 dated April 2, 2026 has been issued by the Office of the Chief Commissioner, Customs & CGST, Meerut Zone.

The reshuffle follows Board’s Office Order No. 44/2026 dated March 27, 2026, and is aimed at streamlining administrative efficiency across CGST Commissionerates, Audit units, and Appeals formations in key locations including Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Dehradun, and GB Nagar.

As per the order, all postings have been made with immediate effect and will remain in force until further instructions. The officers have been directed to assume charge at their new place of posting on or before April 10, 2026.

Importantly, the department has clarified that all representations received in relation to the earlier Board order stand disposed of. It has further emphasized that no fresh representations will be entertained unless the concerned officer joins the new place of posting.

The allocation of specific charges among the transferred officers will be undertaken by the respective Commissionerates.
