CBIC Extends Concessional Duty On Yellow Peas Till 31 May 2025

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has extended the  concessional duty on yellow peas till 31 May 2025.

The earlier deadline of February 28, 2025, as mentioned in Notification No. 64/2023-Customs, dated December 7, 2023 which is now extended till 31 May 2025. 

“In the said notification, in the Table, against S. No. 1, in Column (4), for the words and figures “28th day of February, 2025”, the words and figures “31st day of May, 2025” shall be substituted,” the notification read.

The notification shall have effect from 7th March, 2025.

The extension is expected to provide relief to importers and help manage demand fluctuations in the pulse market.
