This Supreme Court Judgement Secures Women Lawyers With 30% Reservation In Delhi Tax Bar Association, Delhi Sales Tax Bar Association

The supreme court has secured the women lawyers with 30% reservation in Delhi Tax Bar Association and Delhi Sales Tax Bar Association.

The bench of Justice Surya Kant, Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan has directed to earmark the post of Treasurer and 30% posts of Executive Members, exclusive for women candidates, issued vide order dated 19.12.2024, in respect of the Delhi High Court Bar Association and the District Bar Associations in the NCT of Delhi, shall apply mutatis mutandis in the case of Delhi Tax Bar Association including the Sales Tax Bar Association also.

The bench held that the post of Treasurer and 30% posts of Executive Members in the Delhi Tax Bar Association and Sales Tax Bar Association (Regd.) shall remain earmarked/reserved for the women candidates, subject to the same eligibility conditions as prescribed in our order dated 19.12.2024.
