No Change in Tariff Values for Edible Oils, Gold, Silver, Areca Nuts: CBIC

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) updated the tariff values of key imported goods including Edible Oils, Gold, Silver & Areca Nuts. The revised tariff values come into force from April 9, 2025.

Edible Oils and Brass Scrap (Tariff Value in USD per Metric Tonne)

  • Crude Palm Oil: $1158 (No change)
  • RBD Palm Oil: $1160 (No change)
  • Crude Palmolein: $1174 (No change)
  • RBD Palmolein: $1177 (No change)
  • Soyabean Oil: $1064 (No change)
  • Brass Scrap (all grades): $5698 (No change)

Gold and Silver (Tariff Value in USD)

  • Gold (under Notification No. 50/2017-Customs): $984 per 10 grams (No change)
  • Silver (under Notification No. 50/2017-Customs): $983 per kg (No change)
  • Silver coins and medallions (not below 99.9%): $983 per kg (No change)
  • Gold bars and coins (not below 99.5%): $984 per 10 grams (No change)

Areca Nuts (Tariff Value in USD per Metric Tonne)

  • Areca nuts (HS Code 080280): $8140 (No change)
