Delhi Customs Arrests Man For Smuggling Diamond Necklace Worth Rs 6.08 Crores At IGI Airport

The Delhi Customs arrested a man for smuggling diamond necklace worth Rs 6.08 crores at IGI Airport.

On the basis of profiling, the officers of Customs, IGI Airport, New Delhi have booked a case of smuggling of gold necklace studded with diamonds, on 12.02.2025 against one Indian male passenger, who arrived at T-3, IGI Airport New Delhi from Bangkok by Flight No. AI 356.

The detailed examination of the baggage and personal search of the Pax resulted in recovery of a gold necklace studded with diamonds, total weighing 40 grams, having a total value of Rs. 6,08,97,329. 

The recovered gold necklace studded with diamonds has been seized under Section 110 of the Customs Act, 1962, and the person has been placed under arrest in terms of Section 104 of the Customs Act, 1962. 

Further investigation is under progress.
