CBIC Transfers and Posts 6 Senior Customs & Indirect Tax Officers With Immediate Effect [READ OFFICE ORDER]

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has ordered the transfer and posting of six senior customs officers in the grades of Principal Chief Commissioner, Principal Commissioner, Additional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Customs and Indirect Taxes.

The details of the transfers and postings, as contained in the CBIC Office Order, are reproduced below:

The table follows the officer-wise details specified in the CBIC order, including their batch/employee identification numbers, grades, existing formations, new assignments and the formations from which salary and allowances are to be drawn. 

The order covers officers presently posted in the CGST Chennai formations and provides for their attachment as Officers on Special Duty (OSD) in the CBIC, New Delhi, while their salary and allowances will be drawn from the respective formations specified in the order.

Joining Deadline Fixed for August 12

The CBIC has directed that, except for the officer at Serial No. 1 who already stands relieved, the remaining officers shall be relieved immediately.

They have been directed to join their new places of posting on or before August 12, 2026

Compliance Report to Be Submitted by August 14

The order further directs the concerned Principal Chief Commissioners and Chief Commissioners to submit a compliance report regarding the relieving and joining of the officers to the Board by August 14, 2026.

A copy of the compliance report is also required to be endorsed to the ADG (HRM-II), DGHRD

Order Circulated to Senior CBIC Authorities

Copies of the office order have been circulated to the officers concerned, all Principal Chief Commissioners and Chief Commissioners of Customs and Indirect Taxes, the Finance Minister’s office, Revenue Secretary, CBIC Chairman and Members, Commissioner (Coord.), Principal DG (Vigilance), CVO, CBIC and other concerned senior authorities.

The order has also been marked to the relevant heads of department under CBIC, the Principal Chief Controller of Accounts, DGHRD officials and the Manager, CBIC website, for uploading on the CBIC website.
