ICAI Announces Dates for September 2025 CA Exams; Online Applications Open from July 5

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the schedule for the upcoming Chartered Accountants (CA) examinations to be held in September 2025. The announcement covers the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final courses under the existing scheme as per the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.

Exam Schedule

The examinations will take place on the following dates, subject to availability of sufficient candidates at each center:

  • Final Course
    • Group I: September 3, 6, and 8
    • Group II: September 10, 12, and 14
  • Intermediate Course
    • Group I: September 4, 7, and 9
    • Group II: September 11, 13, and 15
  • Foundation Course
    • September 16, 18, 20, and 22

No exams will be held on September 5 due to Milad-un-Nabi, a gazetted holiday. ICAI clarified that examinations will proceed as scheduled even if any other day is declared a public holiday.

Timings and Duration

  • Most papers will be conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM (IST).
  • Foundation Papers 3 and 4 will be of 2 hours (2 PM – 4 PM).
  • Final Paper 6 will be of 4 hours (2 PM – 6 PM).
  • A 15-minute advance reading time will be given for all papers except objective-type ones.

Cities Hosting the Exams

The exams will be conducted across over 250 Indian cities and 9 overseas locations, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat, Riyadh, Kathmandu, Thimpu, and Bahrain.

Application Process

Online application forms for all courses will be available on the Self Service Portal (SSP) https://eservices.icai.org:

  • Start Date: July 5, 2025 (Saturday)
  • Without Late Fee Deadline: July 18, 2025 (Friday)
  • With Late Fee (₹600 / $10): Till July 21, 2025 (Monday)
  • Correction Window: July 22–24, 2025

Candidates can pay the fees online using various payment modes including debit/credit cards, net banking, and UPI.

Examination Fees

  • Foundation: ₹1500 (India), ₹2200 (Kathmandu/Bhutan), $325 (other overseas centers)
  • Intermediate: ₹1500 for one group, ₹2700 for both (India); ₹2200–₹3400 (Kathmandu/Bhutan); $325–$500 (other overseas centers)
  • Final: ₹1800 for one group, ₹3300 for both (India); ₹2200–₹4000 (Kathmandu/Bhutan); $325–$550 (other overseas centers)

Medium of Answer

Candidates can opt to write their answers in either Hindi or English.
