The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a one-time opportunity for eligible CA Final pass candidates to complete the mandatory Advanced Information Technology Training (Adv. ITT) and Management & Communication Skills (MCS) Course through virtual mode, enabling them to apply for ICAI membership.
The special measure has been approved by the ICAI Council for candidates who had successfully cleared the CA Final Examination prior to the implementation of the New Scheme of Education, which came into effect on 1 July 2023, but were unable to obtain ICAI membership solely because they had not completed the mandatory Adv. ITT and/or MCS Course.

Virtual Learning Through Digital Learning Hub
Under the one-time relaxation, eligible candidates can complete the required Adv. ITT and MCS courses through ICAI’s Digital Learning Hub (DLH), subject to the prescribed guidelines and conditions issued by the Institute.
ICAI stated that registrations for both the Virtual Advanced ITT and Virtual MCS Course commenced on 1 August 2026. The registration window will remain open until 30 June 2027, giving eligible candidates nearly eleven months to enroll and complete the mandatory learning requirements.
Relief for Long-Pending Membership Aspirants
The announcement is expected to benefit a large number of CA Final-qualified candidates whose professional journey remained incomplete despite clearing the Final Examination. Many candidates had been unable to secure ICAI membership due to the non-completion of these compulsory training programmes.
By allowing the courses to be undertaken virtually, ICAI has introduced greater flexibility while ensuring that candidates continue to acquire the technological, managerial and communication competencies considered essential for the profession.
Membership Opportunity
Completion of the Virtual Adv. ITT and/or Virtual MCS Course under this one-time measure will enable eligible candidates to fulfill the pending educational requirements necessary for applying for ICAI membership, subject to compliance with the applicable rules and conditions.
Registration and Support
Candidates can register for the courses through ICAI’s Digital Learning Hub during the registration period ending 30 June 2027.
