In a significant procedural update aimed at improving the accuracy of company incorporation data, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has rolled out a new mandatory verification requirement under the SPICe+ Part B filing process. The change is applicable with immediate effect for all new company registrations.
Under the revised system, applicants must now verify both the proposed company’s mobile number and email ID through a One-Time Password (OTP) before submitting incorporation forms on the MCA V3 portal.
Key Highlights of the Update
- OTP verification for Mobile Number – Mandatory
- OTP verification for Email ID – Mandatory
- Applies to all new company incorporation filings via SPICe+ Part B
This enhanced verification has been introduced to ensure that authentic and error-free contact details are captured at the time of registration. According to officials, the step aims to reduce incorporation delays, minimize discrepancies, and streamline communication between the MCA and newly registered companies.
Industry professionals believe the move will further strengthen the digital governance framework and improve the reliability of corporate records.
The MCA is expected to issue more procedural clarifications if required, but for now, stakeholders are advised to keep valid and accessible mobile numbers and email IDs handy while initiating the incorporation process.
For new applicants, this is a crucial update to consider when preparing SPICe+ Part B forms on the MCA V3 portal.
