CGST Mumbai West Forms Grievance Redressal Committee for Speedy Resolution of Taxpayer Issues

The Office of the Commissioner of Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) and Central Excise, Mumbai West, has constituted a Grievance Redressal Committee to address complaints and concerns raised by taxpayers under its jurisdiction. The initiative aims to streamline the process of resolving taxpayer grievances efficiently and transparently.

According to a circular issued by Nikhil Goyal, Joint Commissioner (P&V), CGST Mumbai West, the committee has been formed with the approval of the competent authority and includes four key officers from the Commissionerate.

The circular emphasizes that any person or taxpayer having a grievance related to CGST or Central Excise matters under the Mumbai West Commissionerate may contact the committee members for timely redressal. The move is expected to enhance communication between the department and taxpayers while ensuring faster resolution of issues.
