Bihar Man Murdered Amid Wife’s Alleged Affair with Children’s Tutor: A Shocking Family Tragedy

A tragic case of suspected betrayal and murder has surfaced from Bihar’s Samastipur district, where a 30-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside his home. Authorities have detained the man’s wife following serious allegations of infidelity and foul play, sparking shock and outrage in the local community.

Victim Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances

The deceased, identified as Sonu Kumar, was discovered lifeless in his home located in Laguniya Raghukant village under the Mufassil police station limits. His body was reportedly lying in a pool of blood with injury marks, particularly around the neck, suggesting possible strangulation.

His wife, Smita Jha, was found inside the home at the time of the discovery and appeared unresponsive, sitting silently near the body. Locals informed the police after suspecting something unusual, leading to an immediate investigation.

Family Alleges Murder Over Illicit Affair

According to Tuntun Jha, the victim’s father, tensions had been escalating in the household due to Sonu’s suspicion of his wife’s alleged extramarital relationship with a man named Hariom Kumar, who worked as a private tutor for their children.

The family alleges that the affair had previously led to confrontation, and although Hariom had stopped coming for a while, he resumed visiting the house later. Sonu reportedly objected to these visits and warned his wife. Following continued disputes, the family suspects Smita may have conspired with others, potentially including the tutor, to eliminate her husband.

Police Investigation Underway

Following a formal complaint from the victim’s father, the local police registered a case of murder and detained Smita Jha for interrogation. Sonu’s body was sent for autopsy to the local government hospital to determine the exact cause of death.

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that other individuals, including the alleged lover, are under scrutiny. Police are also reviewing call records, surveillance footage, and testimonies from neighbors to build a comprehensive case.

Community in Shock Over Domestic Tragedy

The incident has left residents of Laguniya Raghukant village disturbed, with many expressing disbelief over the nature of the crime. The possibility that a mother of two could be involved in such a violent act within the family home has drawn wide media and public attention.

Locals have urged authorities to pursue a fair and transparent investigation, ensuring justice for the victim while also examining all angles, including psychological and circumstantial factors.
