Arvind Kumar Appointed as Technical Member (State) to Uttar Pradesh Bench of GSTAT

The Government of India has appointed Mr. Arvind Kumar, retired Additional Commissioner Grade-I from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, as Technical Member (State) in the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT). This appointment pertains to the state bench located in Uttar Pradesh, as per the Office Order No. TMS-04/2025 issued by the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

Mr. Kumar will serve in this capacity for a period of four years or until he attains the age of 67 years, whichever is earlier. He will receive a fixed monthly salary of ₹2,25,000. His appointment aligns with the provisions of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (Appointment and Conditions of Service of President and Members) Rules, 2023, notified on October 25, 2023, and the CGST Act, 2017, as amended from time to time.

He has been directed to assume charge of the post at the Principal Bench of GSTAT in New Delhi on or after August 1, 2025, and no later than four weeks thereafter. He must also submit a medical fitness certificate from a state-authorized medical authority.
