Mumbai ITAT Regular Benches To Become Non functioning

The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), Mumbai bench has notified that the Regular Benches will become non-functioning from 19.05.2025 to 30.05.2025 during summer vacation.

After considering the requests of various Bar Associations across the country, a committee headed by the President, ITAT has approved non-functioning of regular Benches of the ITAT during the ensuing summer vacation.

It has been decided that regular Benches of Mumbai Zone will not function during the period from 19.05.2025 to 30.05.2025.

During the vacation period, there will be no sitting of regular Benches.

The Offices of ITAT will remain open during the aforesaid period. Al officials and staff will attend office as usual.

On the request of parties, vacation Bench for hearing urgent matters, such as, stay petitions, rectification applications. etc. shall be constituted by the Vice-President (Mumbai Zone).

Matters fixed for hearing during the Bench non-functioning period shall be adjourned by the Registry to regular dates.

The vacation period shall be utilized for judicial/technical research, dictating pending judicial orders, human resource capacity building and attending to administrative matters etc.

During vacation, the Registry office shall function as usual.
