Mr. Chang-nyun Kim, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai, and Mr. Jihwan Eun, Director General of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), met with Shri A.R.S. Kumar, Principal Chief Commissioner of Chennai Customs, earlier today.
The high-level meeting was aimed at enhancing bilateral trade facilitation between India and South Korea, with particular focus on streamlining customs procedures and exploring avenues for deeper economic cooperation.
Discussions centred on key issues of mutual interest including customs clearance efficiency, investment opportunities, digital trade facilitation, and the resolution of operational concerns faced by Korean enterprises in India. Both sides acknowledged the growing trade volumes between the two nations and emphasized the need for continued dialogue to support industry stakeholders.
