In a significant development in Indian politics, Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned from the post of Vice President of India with immediate effect, citing health concerns and the need to abide by medical advice. His resignation was formally submitted to the President of India under Article 67(a) of the Constitution.
In a heartfelt resignation letter addressed to the Hon’ble President, Dhankhar expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support and cordial working relationship he shared with the President and the Prime Minister. “It has been a privilege and satisfaction to witness and partake in India’s remarkable economic progress and unprecedented exponential development during this significant period,” he wrote.
Reflecting on his tenure, Dhankhar thanked the Prime Minister, the Council of Ministers, and Members of Parliament for their cooperation, warmth, and trust. He described his experience in office as an honor and expressed pride in India’s global rise and achievements.
