ICAI Declares CA Final and Inter Results for May 2025 Session: Pass Percentages, Toppers, and Key Details

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the results of the CA Final and Intermediate examinations held in May 2025.

Candidates who appeared for the exams between May 16 and May 24 can now access their results on the official ICAI websites — icai.nic.in and icai.org. To check the results, candidates must enter their registration and roll numbers.

CA Final May 2025 Result: Pass Percentage and Toppers

The results reveal that out of 66,943 candidates who appeared for Group I of the CA Final exam, 14,979 passed, marking a pass percentage of 22.38%. In Group II, 12,204 candidates out of 46,173 were successful, recording a pass percentage of 26.43%. For those who appeared for both groups, 5,490 candidates cleared the exam out of 29,286, resulting in a pass rate of 18.75%.

Following the declaration, a total of 14,247 candidates have officially qualified as Chartered Accountants.

CA Intermediate May 2025 Result: Performance Overview

In the Intermediate exams, 97,034 candidates appeared for Group I, of whom 14,232 passed, registering a pass percentage of 14.67%. For Group II, 15,502 out of 72,069 candidates cleared the exam, resulting in a 21.51% success rate. Among the 38,029 candidates who appeared for both groups, 5,028 passed, with a pass percentage of 13.22%.

Result Documents and Certificates

ICAI will dispatch the statement of marks to all candidates by post within 30 days from the result declaration. Candidates who do not receive their marks within 4–5 weeks should write to:

Pass certificates for candidates clearing both groups (whether together or separately) will be issued within 60 days. If not received within eight weeks, candidates can contact the respective emails mentioned above.

Distinction and Rank Certificates

Candidates securing 70% or more aggregate marks in one sitting will be awarded a distinction, which will be mentioned on the pass certificate.

Rank certificates will be issued to candidates meeting all of the following:

  1. Cleared the exam in a single attempt,

  2. Did not avail any exemption, and

  3. Secured at least 55% marks in aggregate.

ICAI will issue rank certificates up to the 50th position on an all-India basis, and these will be sent to the respective regional offices for distribution.

Answer Book Verification and Certified Copies

Candidates may request verification of answer books through the ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP) within one monthfrom the result date. The fee is ₹100 per paper, up to a maximum of ₹400 for a group or both groups.

For those seeking certified copies of evaluated answer scripts, applications must be submitted via the SSP within 30 daysfrom the result date. The fee is ₹500 per paper, and scanned copies will be sent to the candidate's registered email address.
