ICAI Postpones CA Exams in Kathmandu Amid Nepal Protests

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the postponement of the Chartered Accountants examinations scheduled for September 9 and 10, 2025, in Kathmandu, Nepal, citing ongoing widespread protests in the country.

In its notification, ICAI clarified that the postponement is applicable only to candidates appearing in Kathmandu, while the examinations at all other centres in India and abroad will be conducted as per schedule. The revised dates for the affected exams will be notified soon.

The Institute reiterated that all other details and particulars regarding the September 2025 CA examinations remain unchanged, as earlier announced in its notification dated May 30, 2025. Candidates have been advised to stay updated through ICAI’s official website www.icai.org.

The announcement was issued by CA Anand Kumar Chaturvedi, Joint Secretary (Examinations), ICAI, underscoring that the safety and well-being of candidates remains the Institute’s priority.
