A fake circular warning Indian exporters about dealing with UAE-based companies has been circulating on social media and messaging platforms. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, has officially denied issuing any such advisory.
The fraudulent document claims that the Indian government has cautioned exporters against potential fraudulent activities, payment defaults, and unethical business practices by certain companies operating in the UAE, particularly in the foodstuff and general trading sectors. However, the MEA has clarified that no such warning has been issued.

Government’s Clarification
The Consulate General of India, Dubai, has not issued any such press release or advisory, and the government have no involvement with this document (fake notification) in any capacity.
“No such circular has been issued by the Ministry of External Affairs cautioning exporters against dealing with UAE-based companies. We advise everyone to verify information from official sources before sharing,” the statement read.
The fake advisory falsely claims that several UAE-based companies have been blacklisted due to fraudulent activities, including non-payment for goods and contract breaches. It also alleges that the government has flagged certain entities based on complaints from Indian exporters and international trade partners.
