The Ministry of Finance has announced the promotion of four senior officers of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) namely Shri Dipak Kumar Gupta, Shri N. J. Kumaresh, Shri Lalit Prasad, and Shri Ranjit Kumar to the grade of Principal Commissioner, in Level 15 of the Pay Matrix (HAG), for the panel year 2025.

According to Office Order issued by the Department of Revenue, Shri Dipak Kumar Gupta (Emp. ID: 909/1995, DoB: 15.11.1967) and Shri N. J. Kumaresh (Emp. The officers will assume charge of their new roles from the date of assumption of duties and will continue in their posts until further orders.

The order clarifies that the ad-hoc promotion does not grant any claim for continued officiation or seniority for future promotions, and the government reserves the right to terminate the ad-hoc appointment at any time.

Meanwhile, in continuation of Office Order dated March 24, 2025, the Department has confirmed the promotion of Shri Lalit Prasad (Emp. Code: 904, Batch: 1995, DoB: 20.07.1966) and Shri Ranjit Kumar (Emp. Code: 905, Batch: 1995, DoB: 02.10.1971) to the same grade on a regular basis.

The officers will be posted to their regular assignments in due course, upon the approval of the Competent Authority. In the meantime, they are expected to serve at their current locations.
