The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has notified an amendment to the Levy of Fees (Customs Documents) Regulations, 1970, introducing a new fee of Rs. 1,000 for filing electronic applications under the upcoming Customs (Voluntary Revision of Entries Post Clearance) Regulations, 2025.

The new fee structure applies to situations where importers or exporters need to voluntarily revise customs entries after goods have already been cleared. This typically involves corrections or disclosures related to classification, value, quantity, or any other particulars that impact duty or compliance obligations.
