DGFT Amends Export Policy of Non-Basmati Rice

The Directorate General of foreign Trade (DGFT) has notified the amendment in export policy of non-basmati rice.

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, the Central Government amended the Export Policy conditions under ITC (HS) Code 1006 30 90 under Chapter 10 of Schedule- II(Export Policy) of ITC (HS) 2022.

As per the existing policy the export of Non-Basmati White rice (Semi- milled or wholly milled rice, whether or not polished or glazed: Other) is free subjected to a Minimum Export Price of USD 490/tonne.

However, the export policy is amended and the condition Minimum Export Price of USD 490/tonne is removed and now the export of Non-Basmati White rice (Semi- milled or wholly milled rice, whether or not polished or glazed: Other) is free.
