Govt. Approves Empanelment of Satyajit Singh for Promotion as Chief Commissioner of Customs and Indirect Taxes

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of Shri Satyajit Singh for promotion to the grade of Chief Commissioner of Customs and Indirect Taxes in the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes).

The approval was conveyed through an order issued by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, dated August 20, 2026.

According to the order, the ACC approved the proposal of the Department of Revenue for empanelment of Shri Satyajit Singh by including his name in the panel recommended by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) held on November 12, 2025, for the year 2026.

Shri Satyajit Singh has been placed at Serial No. 11-A in the panel. The order specifies that his name has been positioned below Shri Gudavalli Sreenivasa Rao at Serial No. 11 and above Shri Ved Prakash Shukla at Serial No. 12.
