The Government of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi has officially extended the due date for filing Form GSTR-3B for the month of September 2025 as well as for the July–September 2025 quarter.

Monthly taxpayers filing returns under Section 39(1) for September 2025 can now file their GSTR-3B up to 25 October 2025.

Quarterly taxpayers covered under the proviso to Section 39(1) for the July 2025 to September 2025 quarter have also been granted time up to 25 October 2025 to submit their returns

The notification has been issued by the Commissioner of State Tax in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 39(6) read with Section 168 of the Delhi Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The decision has been taken on the recommendations of the GST Council, reflecting a coordinated approach between the Centre and the States .

The extension is expected to provide much-needed compliance relief to registered persons, including small businesses and professionals, who often face challenges due to system issues, reconciliation requirements, or overlapping statutory deadlines. By aligning both monthly and quarterly return deadlines to a single date, the move also simplifies compliance planning for taxpayers.

Form GSTR-3B is a mandatory monthly summary Goods and Services Tax (GST) return in India that registered taxpayers must file. It provides consolidated details of outward supplies (sales), inward supplies (purchases), input tax credit (ITC) claimed, and the resulting tax liability.
