The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has extended the validity of the Amnesty Scheme, Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026) till August 31, 2026, providing additional time for companies to complete pending statutory filings.

The extension comes in the wake of capacity enhancement and restoration activities at the MCA data centre following a fire incident reported on June 5, 2026.

The MCA had introduced the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026) to provide companies with an opportunity to regularise pending statutory compliances and complete overdue filings. The scheme was originally scheduled to remain in force until July 15, 2026.

However, the functioning of the MCA’s digital infrastructure was affected due to a fire incident at its data centre on June 5, 2026, necessitating restoration and capacity enhancement measures.

According to the Ministry, the extension has been granted in view of the ongoing restoration and infrastructure augmentation activities at the data centre. To ensure that companies are not adversely affected by the technical disruptions and have sufficient time to complete their statutory obligations, the validity of the scheme has now been extended until August 31, 2026.

The extension provides significant relief to companies that were unable to complete their filings due to system-related issues or operational disruptions following the data centre incident. Businesses now have an additional one and a half months beyond the earlier deadline to avail themselves of the benefits of the compliance facilitation scheme.

Corporate professionals, company secretaries, chartered accountants, and legal practitioners are also expected to benefit from the extended timeline, enabling smoother completion of compliance requirements.

The circular states that the extension has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and takes immediate effect.

With the revised deadline, companies now have until August 31, 2026, to complete pending statutory filings under the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026).
