The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially declared the results for the Chartered Accountancy (CA) September 2025 session for all three levels — Foundation, Intermediate, and Final — on November 3, 2025. Candidates can now access their scorecards and online mark statements by visiting the official ICAI websites — icai.org and icai.nic.in.
The toppers for the September 2025 session are as follows: L Rajalakshmi from Chennai (Foundation), Neha Khurwani from Jaipur (Intermediate), and Mukund Agiwal from Dhamnod (Final).
Initially, the results for the Intermediate and Final exams were scheduled to be announced at 2 PM, followed by the Foundation results at 5 PM. However, the Institute released all three results earlier than expected. The announcement covers both domestic and international exam centres.
In the CA Final examination, a total of 81,852 candidates were admitted across 458 centres in India. In Group I, 51,955 candidates appeared and 12,811 passed, recording a pass percentage of 24.66 per cent. For Group II, 32,273 candidates appeared and 8,151 qualified, marking a pass percentage of 25.26 per cent. Among the 16,800 candidates who appeared for both groups, 2,727 cleared the exam, registering a pass rate of 16.23 per cent. Mukund Agiwal from Dhamnod topped the CA Final examination with 500 marks (83.33 per cent), followed by Tejas Mundada from Hyderabad with 492 marks (82 per cent) and Bakul Gupta from Alwar with 489 marks (81.5 per cent).
In the CA Intermediate examination, 1,59,779 candidates downloaded admit cards. Group I was attempted by 93,074 candidates, of whom 8,780 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 9.43 per cent. Group II saw 69,768 candidates appear, with 18,938 qualifying, recording a pass percentage of 27.14 per cent. Among 36,398 candidates who appeared for both groups, 3,663 cleared the exam, resulting in a pass rate of 10.06 per cent. Neha Khurwani from Jaipur secured the All India First Rank with 505 marks (84.17 per cent), followed by Kriti Sharma from Ahmedabad with 503 marks (83.83 per cent) and Akshat Birendra Nautiyal from Mumbai with 500 marks (83.33 per cent). The Intermediate exams were conducted across 548 centres nationwide.
For the CA Foundation examination, 98,827 candidates appeared, of which 14,609 qualified, recording an overall pass percentage of 14.78 per cent. Among male candidates, 51,120 appeared and 8,046 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 15.74 per cent. Among female candidates, 47,707 appeared and 6,563 passed, registering a pass rate of 13.76 per cent. L Rajalakshmi from Chennai topped the Foundation examination with 360 marks (90 per cent), followed by Prem Agarwal from Surat with 354 marks (88.50 per cent) and Neel Rajesh Shah from Mumbai with 353 marks (88.25 per cent). The Foundation exams were conducted across 544 centres in India and abroad.
The CA September 2025 session was conducted not only in India but also in several international centres, including Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Thimphu (Bhutan), Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuwait, Muscat, and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), enabling overseas aspirants to participate in the examination.
To check their results, candidates must visit icai.org or icai.nic.in and click on the result link for the relevant level — Foundation, Intermediate, or Final. They are required to enter their roll number and registration number (or PIN) as mentioned on their admit card, complete the captcha verification, and submit the details to view their scorecard. The scorecard can be downloaded and printed for future reference.
For the CA Foundation examination, candidates must score at least 40 marks in each paper and 50 per cent in aggregate to qualify. Those securing 70 per cent or more in aggregate are declared as “pass with distinction.”
The CA Final and Intermediate examinations were held from September 12 to September 26, 2025, while the Foundation exam was conducted on September 16, 18, 20, and 22, 2025. In comparison, during the May 2025 session, the CA Final pass percentage was 9.4 per cent, and the CA Intermediate Group I pass percentage stood at 14.6 per cent, indicating a significant improvement in the current session.
Candidates are advised to download their scorecards immediately for verification and academic requirements. ICAI is expected to publish detailed merit lists and comprehensive pass percentage statistics later in the day. The release of the CA September 2025 results marks a significant milestone for thousands of aspiring Chartered Accountants across India and abroad, reaffirming the rigorous standards and prestige of the CA qualification.
