A. R. S. Kumar Promoted as Principal Chief Commissioner: CBIC

The President of India has approved the empanelment and promotion of A. R. S. Kumar to the post of Principal Chief Commissioner / Principal Director General of Customs & Indirect Taxes.

As per the Office Order issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue (Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs), Kumar—bearing Employee ID 662 and belonging to the 1991 batch—has been elevated to the Apex Scale (Level 17 of the Pay Matrix) with effect from the date he assumes charge.

Until formal posting orders are issued by the Competent Authority, Shri Kumar will discharge his new responsibilities on an in situ (as-is-where-is) basis. The Office Order further mandates that a compliance report on the officer’s assumption of charge be sent to the Board, with a copy endorsed to the Principal Additional Director General (HRM-II), DGHRD.
