3 Appointed as Technical Members (State) in GSTAT Benches in Uttar Pradesh

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of three individuals to the posts of Technical Member (State) in the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) for benches located in Uttar Pradesh.

These appointments follow the recommendations made by the Search-cum-Selection Committee and come with a fixed salary of ₹2,25,000 per month. The tenure for each post is four years from the date of assuming charge or until the appointee attains the age of 67, whichever is earlier.

The newly appointed members are Vivek Kumar, retired Member of the Commercial Tax Tribunal, Bench-II, Lucknow; Ananjai Kumar Rai, currently serving as Member, Commercial Tax Tribunal, Bench-4, Varanasi; andr, retired as Additional Commissioner Grade-I from Ayodhya.

The order was issued on July 1, 2025, by the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. It was signed by Kundan Nath, Under Secretary (EO-SM.II), and has been circulated to relevant departments including the Prime Minister’s Office, the Cabinet Secretariat, and the guard file for necessary action and record.
