The Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT), Kolkata, has quashed a central excise duty demand of ₹71.14 lakh, along with interest and penalties, raised against a Durgapur-based integrated steel manufacturer.  The bench of R. Muralidhar (Judicial Member) and K. Anpazhakan (Technical Member) also struck down the personal penalty of Rs. 10 lakh imposed…
