Gold Concealed in Pickle Box Seized at IGI Airport Under The Leadership Of Vishal Pal Singh

The smuggling attempt was foiled by the Delhi Customs Department at IGI Airport under the leadership of Vishal Pal Singh wherein gold concealed in pickle box seized at IGI Airport under the leadership of Vishal Pal Singh.

In a clever but ultimately unsuccessful attempt, a passenger’s effort to smuggle gold concealed in a pickle box was intercepted by vigilant customs officers on January 23, 2025.

A passenger was arriving from Jeddah. During a detailed inspection of the passenger’s baggage concealed item which contained 4 yellow metal cut pieces appearing to be made of gold weighing 100 grams, hidden inside a pickle box to avoid detection.

The passenger was booked for attempting to smuggle gold without declaring it, violating customs laws.
