CBIC Notifies Promotion Of Satendra Vikram Singh, Ravinder Saroop, Vivek Chaturvedi, Mahendra Ranga To The Post Of Principal Director General Of Customs & Indirect Taxes

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has notified the promotion of Satendra Vikram Singh, Ravinder Saroop, Vivek Chaturvedi and Mahendra Ranga to the post of Principal Chief Commissioner / Principal Director General Of Customs & Indirect Taxes.

The President of India is pleased to empanel and promote Shri Satendra Vikram Singh, Ravinder Saroop and Vivek Chaturvedi to the post of Principal Chief Commissioner / Principal Director General of Customs & Indirect Taxes in the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) in Level 17 of the Pay Matrix (Apex Scale) against the panel year 2025 w.e.f. the date of assumption of charge of the post, not before 01.02.2025, and until further orders.

The President of India is also pleased to empanel and promote Mahendra Ranga to the post of Principal Chief Commissioner / Principal Director General of Customs & Indirect Taxes in the Indian Revenue Service (Customs

& Indirect Taxes) in Level 17 of the Pay Matrix (Apex Scale) against the panel year 2025 w.e.f. the date of assumption of charge of the post, not before 11.02.2025, and until further orders.

The Regular posting of the officers will be decided in due course with the approval of the Competent Authority. Until such time, they shall assume the charge of the promotional post on in situ (as is where is) basis.

The promotion of officer on deputation shall be effective from the date he returns to the cadre and assumes the charge of the promotional post. In case he opts to continue on the ex-cadre post, an appropriate proposal from the borrowing authority concerned may be forwarded to the Board for consideration for grant of proforma promotion, in terms of extant instructions.
