GST Conclave 2025 to be Held in Kochi on June 16

The Central Tax, Central Excise and Customs, Thiruvananthapuram Zone headed by Chief Commissioner S. K. Rahman is all set to host the GST Conclave 2025 on, June 16, at 10:30 AM at the iconic ‘Waterfront’ venue, Taj Vivanta, Marine Drive, Kochi. 

This high-level conclave will bring together senior legal luminaries, top tax administrators, and leading policy commentators to reflect on the journey and future of India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime.

Organized under the leadership of Shri S. K. Rahman, Chief Commissioner of the Thiruvananthapuram Zone, the event is expected to witness a rich exchange of insights on GST law, policy, compliance, and governance.

  • Guest of Honour: Shri Rajendra Kumar P., Chairman, Indirect Taxes Committee, ICAI

Programme Highlights

The event will begin with a Welcome Address by Shri S. K. Rahman at 10:30 AM, followed by the Lighting of the Lamp and a Special Address by Shri Rajendra Kumar P. at 10:45 AM.

At 11:00 AM, the Hon’ble Attorney General Shri R. Venkataramani will deliver the Keynote Address, expected to delve into the constitutional underpinnings and legal trajectory of GST.

The first Interactive Session will follow at 11:35 AM, leading into a Tea Break at 11:45 AM.

The second session kicks off at 12:00 PM with a thematic presentation titled “GST: Simplifying Taxes; Empowering Citizens” by Shri Shailendra Kumar. This will be followed by another Interactive Session at 12:45 PM.

The event will conclude with a Vote of Thanks at 12:55 PM, the National Anthem at 1:00 PM, and Lunch at 1:05 PM.

GST Conclave 2025 serves as a vital forum to review the GST’s implementation since its inception, assess policy and operational challenges, and discuss ways forward for further simplification and transparency in tax administration. With participation from senior legal officials and industry thought leaders, the conclave is poised to spark meaningful dialogue for both policymakers and stakeholders.
