In a significant step aimed at improving taxpayer services, the Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner, CGST & CEX, Delhi Zone has issued a Trade Notice announcing the establishment of a Grievance Redressal Mechanism to address issues related to GST registration.

This initiative follows the CBIC’s Instruction No. 04/2025-GST dated May 2, 2025, which clarifies that applicants assigned to Central jurisdiction with grievances concerning their GST application—particularly in cases of rejection—may now approach the Zonal Principal Chief Commissioner or Chief Commissioner.

To facilitate this, a Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) has been set up within the PCCO, CGST & CX, Delhi Zone. Taxpayers falling under the jurisdiction of CGST & CX, Delhi Zone can submit their concerns via the dedicated email: grievance.cgstdelhi@gov.in.

“This move aims to streamline the grievance handling process and offer faster resolution for taxpayers struggling with issues around new GST registrations,” said an official from the department.

The notice, digitally signed by Manish Kumar Jha, Additional Commissioner, CGST & CX, Delhi Zone, received official approval from the Principal Chief Commissioner and has been communicated to members of RAC, Trade Associations, and Chambers of Commerce across Delhi.

The Trade Notice was also circulated among senior officials and staff across all CGST Delhi Commissionerates—North, South, West, and East—and posted on official notice boards and websites to ensure wide accessibility.
