In a major outreach initiative aimed at strengthening trade facilitation, Shri Rajeev Yadav, Principal Commissioner, ICD Patparganj & other ICDs, held an interactive session with key stakeholders from the logistics and manufacturing sectors at Inland Container Depot (ICD) Garhi Harsaru. The meeting saw participation from top importers and exporters, including Honda Motors, Maruti Corporation, and Hero MotoCorp, along with representatives from the Custodian.

During the session, Shri Yadav assured the industry of faster customs clearances, enhanced ease of doing business, and a 24×7 grievance redressal mechanism to address trade-related challenges in real time. He reaffirmed the department’s commitment to reducing dwell time and enhancing operational efficiency through technology-driven processes and stakeholder collaboration.

As part of the visit, the Principal Commissioner also conducted an inspection tour of the ICD premises along with Custodian officials. Discussions focused on strengthening infrastructure, addressing bottlenecks, and integrating trade facilitation measures to support seamless import-export operations.

Senior officials highlighted the Customs’ push towards digitalisation and continuous engagement with trade bodies, noting that such interactions help in bridging gaps between policy and implementation.

The outreach aligns with the department’s broader objective to promote an enabling environment for international trade, in line with the Government of India’s vision of a globally competitive logistics ecosystem.
