The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has initiated a probe against Yendamuri Srinivas, a Superintendent of Customs currently stationed at the Customs House in Auto Nagar, Vijayawada. Srinivas is under scrutiny for allegedly accumulating assets worth ₹1.4 crore, which is approximately 106% more than his known sources of income between January 1, 2018, and October 5, 2024.

The investigation stems from source information suggesting that Srinivas amassed wealth through illicit means during his tenure at the office of the Additional Commissioner of Customs in Kakinada. According to the First Information Report (FIR), initial records from January 2018 indicated that Srinivas and his family possessed assets totaling ₹38 lakh. However, over the subsequent six years, his assets reportedly increased significantly beyond his legitimate income.

The CBI has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
