Gold Worth Rs. 1.22 Crore Seized At Trichy Airport

Gold worth ₹1.22 crore was seized at Trichy Airport by officers of the Customs Intelligence Unit (CIU), Trichy Customs.

Acting on specific intelligence, officers of the Customs Intelligence Unit (CIU), Trichy Customs, seized 1.395 kg of gold valued at ₹1,22,76,000 at Trichy International Airport. The gold was concealed inside an ice crusher found in the check-in luggage of a passenger arriving from Sharjah.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
